I’m a couple of days into the redesign, and I have been making decent progress. My basic understanding of PHP has come in handy in tearing down Wordpress’ templates and reassembling them into my own design.

I have officially decided to take the minimalist route in redesigning webclique. It’s where I’ve been heading in design and fine art for quite awhile. There’s something wonderful about the stark contrast between the white page and simple, bold typography. And while I love image laden, complex work; I gravitate towards the simplicity of a well though out, sparse framework. I think it allows for the visual presentation of more complex projects without the worry of competition from what’s surrounding it.
