Along with the redesign, I’ve had to make some decisions about previous site settings, writing styles and content. I’ve decided to make some changes to how I previously posted.

Perhaps the most significant change comes in the permanent archiving of the previous five years worth of webclique content. There were several reasons for the decision to axe my previous posts. But the main one was that I’ve felt for some time that I’m heading in a different direction with my writing that I was when I started this site. My goals for why I’m writing online are more clearly defined than they have been in the past, and I think I’ve finally set the line of demarcation on what I’m willing to share from my life and what I’m not. So, it all goes into cold storage.

The other reason is that I don’t want to mess with trying to import, convert, edit and sustain all of the material that was generated using Blogger. It’s a headache that I can avoid based on the previously stated reason.

Another small but notable change will be the discontinuation of the, “Album listened to while posting…” reference that concluded all of my blog posts. I don’t think that it’s that interesting or relevant enough to continue, and I’m sure there are better ways I can share my listening habits with you fair readers.

There are still other areas that I’m going to amend (decision on whether to keep the splash page of do away with it) and change as I move along, but those two are at the more drastic end of the spectrum.
