I made the decision today to dump my land line and head over to the world of VOIP. After reading a comparison article in this month’s Wired magazine on comparable services, Vonage came out as the clear winner of my dinero. What was the most wonderful part was that just by dumping my traditional phone line and switching over to VOIP, I will automatically be saving in the neighborhood of $25 to $30 every month. A measurable amount of scratch.

Now, I have heard quite a few complaints about VOIP as well, so I am using the free month of service to give it a bit of test drive. If after the initial 30 days I’m not happy with what I’ve seen I may head back to my traditional setup. Hopefully, though, it will be great and in a little over a month I will be wondering how I ever lived without the service.
