Mozilla just announced that on June 17 they will release Firefox version 3. For a big old browser nerd like me, that is great news. I’ve already been using the beta version for a couple weeks on one of my laptops, and I have to say that the changes are significant. There are so many added features built in that it almost feels as if you are using a different browser. I’ve noticed a little bugginess, but nothing that was a show stopper. All were little things that I’m sure they will have hammered out by the time they go alpha.

So, if you’re a Firefox user, please get on over to the Mozilla site next Tuesday and download the newest version. Mozilla has also announced that they are going to attempt to break a world record for most downloads in a 24 hour period. Support your nerdiness and help to break that record.
