There are few things more pleasing to a designer than having their work recognized and appreciated. Just a few appreciative words or a nod can make all of your toiling in anonymity worth the effort. And when you are a small studio constantly dealing with clients, those appreciative nods can be few and far between.

This week our little plush endeavor, Dolls for Friends, stole a little appreciative nod as part of an article in the Sept/Oct issue of Fiber Arts magazine. Shots of three of our plushies were included in an article about the Crammed Organisms show that we took part in last month in St. Louis. 

To our absolute amazement, the shots they used ended up riding the top of the article title like an old AMC western. We’ve picked up several copies of the magazine for the studio and will probably have the piece framed and added to our wall of shame so we can gaze upon it the next time we wonder whether the long hours behind a computer and sewing machine are really worth it.
